About
Long story short, I grew up in a town that was not conducive for my personal expansion and envisioned future. Lacking the tools, support, and awareness I have today, I suffered years of psychological distress including anxiety and depression. During my darkest of times, I dealt with severe body dysmorphia, disordered eating, and poor self-esteem.
It was through fitness that I learned the change I could create on my own.
Fitness was my first love. To ease mental distress, I used strength training as a self-empowerment tool. It certainly helped me indirectly process emotions and position me in the driver seat of my life. In 2015, I became as NASM certified personal trainer and wellness coach.
Yoga was my saving grace as a key embodiment practice towards healing and growth.
Instead of relying on prescription medications to ease my general anxiety and depression, I discovered the power of mindful movement, or yoga. This began my journey of teaching with the intent to fortify and heal students
My journey towards self-knowing and mental healing inspired me to become an expert in psychological transformation.
I attended Buffalo University and Southern New Hampshire University to achieve my B.S. in Psychology with an emphasis on mental Health.
The desire to help others with similar disturbances led me to extend my education in the fields of addiction and self-image.
